While some members might have jumped too hard on the whole thing, Some stuff goes unanswered.
1) Why has not USINPAC endorsed IV all this while on their website? Does not USINPAC know any thing about IV?
2) While I understand the importance of fund raisers for politicians, why USINPAC has not involved US citizens of American origin to contribute to the cause? What about grass roots efforts?
3) I dont have the exact statistics, but I am positive that every one out of 2/3 Indians living in the US is plagued by this problem of GC. How come Orgs like USINPAC are not pushing this by all means?
Forget the media mishap and the outrage of some members, if USINPAC really considers Immigration of Highly skilled Indians, they should be doing some thing. I personally am neither defending the outrage of some members nor appreciating it, but most of the Indian American citizen community does not want to be in sync with the plight of Indians immigrating to US.There are various reasons. Most important one as I have seen, Many in the Indian American citizen / Indian Permanent Resident community run consulting companies and they would hate to see these guys slip away from their hands by getting GC's. Fcuk, its like the damn door closes right behind you. I am positive most of those shops will come down to earth if Indian citzens start getting their GC's. May be its time, the Indian American Citizens/ Indian PR's ask themselves, what they really want. We have about 2.5 million Indians in USA of which about more than half a million are stuck in this green card mess. Any organization that claims to be a representative of Indian community should have this Green Card reform as a very top priority in their agenda, but it was extremely disappointing for the people fighting for this cause when they approached some of these organizations who could provide just lip service and press releases from their chambers and project that they are on the top of the issue and working hard to get the work done. IV has filled this void for a true grass roots level organization with a huge membership base which is truely global,not just Indian and working in an extremely organzied fashion. I am sure that many of the the organizations envy the way we have built the membership base ( we are not a paid membership org) and have individuals roll up their sleeves, go to the fields across the country and work for this noble cause unlike others who are limited to doing press releases, photo opportunities and advertizing to promote them selves.
At the end, time will tell if Immigration Voice would be successful in the agenda it has enbarked on, but what ever the final result be, our efforts would be analyzed for years to come by the ethnic, minority and national groups as to how to unleash the power of the Internet to build and run a grass root level oranization. Can you imagine how it would have been if Internet were available at the time of Mahatma Gandhi? I am sure Robinder has been thinking and analyzing that and we would welcome his analysis.

You are talking about getting GC. My position is that I am just waiting it to be MARCH 2005 just to file for my 485. My job requires EB2 but attorney filed it in EB3 and now doesnt want to re-apply EB2. You all are better than my position. Been here for more than 8 years but still dont have EAD.

Can some one clarify if the PD is based on the day labor application was received or the day it was approved?
My I140 states it as the day it was approved.
A priority date, in an employment-based (EB) case requiring Labor Certification (LC), is the officially acknowledged date that the case was filed at the state level Department of Labor office, referred to as the SESA. If the EB case was filed in a category that does not require labor certification, then the priority date assigned by the INS is the date the I-140 (Immigrant Visa Petition) is received by the INS Service Center.

Looks like you are using online degree to support your case as well, that is why you are so pissed off. No matter how loud you shout or how many people you threaten about lawsuits and all that stuff, no one can deny the fact that an online degree does not have much of recognition.
Say in clear and simple words -- are online degrees from University of North Dakota, University of Massachusetts, North Eastern University etc. legit ? Yes or No
Your beating around the bush and twisting words just show you have no argument. Didn't your MBA teach you that there is something called logical argument? Or was your degree from the like of TVU ?

They have stopped issuing Interim EADs.

I just got off the call from uscis regarding my I-485. My PD is in the first week of Mar 2006.
Per the USCIS website, they are suppose to process even the first week of Mar 2006 although the Aug VB says it is 01MAR06. I spoke to the second level IO and he was confident that my case would have to wait for the next month. I insisted that the uscis website says otherways, he went and verified with the third level (or his peer) and came back and told me that I was correct.
Infact told me that my case was pre-adjd and being reviewed by IO currently.
I am sure the same applies to you with the Sep VB. Good luck !!!

AmitKhare77... apparently, the job title and job responsibilities have to be same as whats on labor until we get GC. otherwise no promotion.
Actually, I believe that if the promotion is a "natural progression of the job ladder", you can accept it. What you cannot do is change the job ladder completely to a different track.
Thus, say you filed labor when a software engineer, its ok to be promoted to "Senior Software Engineer. What is not ok is to change tracks to say "Product Manager" or a position as "Sales lead" etc...
Of course, i'm not a lawyer, but this is what i;ve been told by other folks and lawyers at my company.

Check/Bill-pay has been temporarily discontinued due to logistics reasons.
PayPal automates the payments. Checks/Billpay requires an IV volunteer (trusted by IV core) to take time off and physically collect these checks/echecks from the IV mailbox in NJ, and deposit them to the IV bank account. Someone has to spend time and effort into doing it !
How about check? 100% goes to IV.

Who the hell r U kidding? By calling urself "BharatPremi" u r making a BIG fool of urself. If u r really a patriotic Indian why the hell did u apply for ur GC? Just work for those 6 H1B yrs and get the hell out of this country. Also my friend you took the liberty to comment about my ethics and had commented that I have sold my soul. I guess you did not read my comment clearly. I had only congratulated Our President on winning the graet Nobel Peace prize and had written that me and my family is greatly pleased at his winning the prize. Dear friend do you know how many members of my family are US citizen. So if I say our President it includes me , my wife and my whole family (including my in laws and my siblings).

Could you please tell what is your spouse's H1B validity date? Mine is 09/30/2007. Will they deny my wife re-entry into US since there are only 2-3 months left?
