Not sure why you would generalize all H1b holders as experiencing hell - I for one did not. Anyways if you take the time to browse the forums you will find the answer to your question.
Malibuguy007 , you seem to me a guy who could save 2-3000 dollars per month and think you are in heaven(Typical GULTI mentality) . These are the points on basis of which i called life of H1 hell
1. Your spouse can't work . Think about their self esteem and self respect they are loosing.
2. You don't know about your future if tomorrow you loose your job , you will be kicked from this country.
Tell me what is hell then ? Don't think its just about counting dollars , think about your life stability and about your family members too. Try to come out of Sambhar-Rice world(thats the way you save money here and call US heaven). Live with pride ,ok . Fight for being treated like H1 ( HIGHLY SKILLED PROFESSIONAL) not slaves.

Why not parents have a different category... not B2. maybe P1/P2
B2 is tourist visa. Parents are not tourist.
We are here because of our good parents. Forgetting them is most disrespect we do in life.
If we don't care our parents, when we become older(parents) how will our kids will care us?.

The reason I suggested sending in our credentials is beacuse the key in reverse brain drain is also "brain" along with "drain".
If we send in copies of our credentials (respectfully, in a nice package ) along with a stopper it will show them what they are going to loose.
Even to hard core right wingers it will show them that even if they neglect the human factor (caused by the in ordinately long delays) they cannot neglect the intellectual factor..

The issue at hand is not to "prove" if you are educationally qualified rather long delays in legal employment based immigration. So sending copies of degree certificates may not convey our message.
Stopper is a good idea because it weaves two ideas very effectively:
- Stop American jobs from off-shoring : use a stopper
- Stop reverse brain "drain" from America to keep America competitive : use stopper
This concept of reverse brain drain is well documented by the recent Kauffman foundation study http://www.kauffman.org/items.cfm?itemID=906
where they mention that 100K high skilled immigrants have left US to go back to India, China and other countries.

Does it mean they would stop processing I140 premium applications which have already been sent. My I140 was pending for 6 months and I changed it for premium after the dates became current, it was sent by my lawyer this Monday (25th) and received by USCIS on 26th. Does this mean it will not be processed or does this mean they will not accept any premium processing applications from July 2nd.

When I mentioned that FOIA can also be used for making a presentation to the lawmakers on how deep the retrogression is, FOIA is ok and good. Because, it will possibly benefit him

If to get EAD and AP going to take more then year then what is advantage of VB becoming current?

Listening to EB folks is a win-win situation for both this country and the professionals. May be more win situation for the country than professionals.
If using civilized, peaceful, democratic way of asking for right things is crying, then yes, I am a cry-baby because it is better to be such a cry-baby than anti-immigrant, nativist abusers on various forums.

Once again. You will get an EAD ONLY if you filed form I-765 along with your I-485. Your I-140 has no bearing on your EAD.

I am probably waiting for the longest here for EAD, my app received on July 2nd at NCS. Called numerous times, sent form 7001, emailed senators twice, 3 infopass appointments, still no progress. I submitted expedite request based on humanitarian grounds last week, have been calling daily to check status of expedite and still remains pending. My case now pending about 157 days. Anything more that I need to do ?

My wife received EAD on 10/22 and so far there has been absolutely no update on my LUD and EAD application is still pending. The service center is Nebraska and I am the primary applicant. I think there a a lot of people in the same boat.

The current versiion of the bill says thus :
All illegals have to establish eligibility for adjustment of status..Now that could be done through a labor certification or some kind of review by the USCIS. The law does not say how.
It could mean that all of them submit some sort of form to USCIS immediately after the law comes into effect..Then after 6 years they would be eligible to adjust status..that is 485 filing...
