I have seen that same tendency on ,when I asked about that, I was told that once your PD is current the RD plays the final role, if my RD is before someones with a 2004 PD then mine is done first. Now the service guy was the one telling me that. Question is how much can we believe them. Obviously we are getting mixed info here.
Lets just hope we all get it soon and this confusion they are causing with all the mixed messages is over soon!

I don't mean to be pessimistic regarding your application, but it seems that USCIS is processing old PDs 2003 and 2004 without looking at RD ( if it is within the published processing time or not). so if you have a PD of 2004 or older, don't worry about your RD and they will touch yours soon, assuming I-140 already approved. but if you have a PD newer than 2004, it might be a while before they get to those even if your RD is before 06/08/07 (published)
Also regarding the service request. I did a SR back in February to get an update of my case and they asked me to wait 45 days to hear something. I called again today ( 60 days later) and it seems that SR I did disapeared ( I even have a reference #). Customer Service rep said they can start a new SR but not sure if it is gonna do anything. they will get to the application when they can. and right now they are precessing 2003 and 2004.

Slumdog, ANOTHER GOOD POST. just my good 2 cents to add for readers...
I posted my experience of last 9 months on your peace of mind blog, and i agree with you on all accounts (on both blogs). But what resonates from your post is, how people could/will/would/shall/should perceive and think....it is the perception of life that is becoming scarier than the life itself.
What rings my mind is, why is being happy all the time so hard? Or, is it again the perception of what should be done to be happy - anyways, below is what stuck my mind after reading yours...
Ultimately at the end and very basis we are human beings and we are allowed to commit mistakes. Each person/individual will have to decide what "mistake", "risk", "issue", "reality" is. For some its thinking through the heart and for some its thinking through the brain. If its heart then its risky and if its mind, its calculated. There are instances when both heart & mind have been right, and also where both have been wrong.
Folks, keep your head high. You have lived so far and will in the future. Dont let a right fly you away and a mistake drop you. It is hard to live a life as-is, and with aspirations dont make it harder. Dream but dont hope.
At least try to be happy, and pray for all the needy and help as much as you can.

Hi! is this true? they are approving cases randomly? what happen to FIFO?
I guess one has to pray for luck ! Is there no reason to worry? What if your case has been denied after 13 months of waiting , that's really bad luck.

i asked the same question about rejection they said we dont accept any rejections and we will file MTR, and they dont have any rejections from past 6 years
one of my friend in the same company got approval in 3 months that one is not audited
we both filed at the same time atlanta centre he is lucky guy

again, as I mentioned, there is not much we can do about that. People are trying to apply under EB2, no matter whether there is additional 55K or not. We just can not stop them. Politics is all about compromise. Do you agree this bill will also do something good for EB3? It might not be a prefect bill, but it is as close to perfect as we can get at this time, isn't it?

This kind of statements have been used time and again to justify actions taken by a section of people to skew things in their favor. How come there has been no compromise from EB2 folks or folks who have done MS here in US. When things became in favor of EB2 they started saying we are better educated so we deserve the GC sooner. Now US educated MS wil lstart saying the same thing. Compromise is something done to make it favorable for parties. Some more than othere but the fact is everyone gets some thing. In this case people with older priority dates wil get nothing. That is not a compromise that is called shafting.
This bill might do something good for some EB3 folks who have advanced degree but then again instead of a EB2 and EB3 difference we will now have an EB3 MS and EB3 Non MS difference and as i see it there is not much difference between those two. Same wine new bottle.
Being at the bottom of the totem pole is not a good place my friend. Shit always flow up to down never down to up.
In any case what is being discussed here wil have no impact on the outcome of the bill. If the bill goes through MS educated EB3 folks wil get GC and non US educated folks will still be standing in the line applying for AP and EAD.

Same for me too!!! i got second e-mail today also. I got another e-mail on july 14th with same content. My EAD expires in 15 days and i am on EAD. I don't know What the hell is going on. I e-filed on May 8th.

Hi guys, Just wanted to post an update here. Me and My wife got our GC's in mail today. Our PD was May 19th 2006. Interestingly there is no update on my case online. I was very anxious and refreshing the case status page every few mins for the past few days but to my surprise, my case was approved on 5th of May and i have the cards in hand now.
Keep your hopes high and have patience. It could just be that USCIS has stopped updating the online status and started working on our cases(Wishful thinking :))

All these ideas have been debated several times before and there have been too many bills that didnt go anywhere. It's probably wiser to try to push the bills that have already been introduced than to push new ones and waste more time. ...

We had our fp done on June 11th and there was a soft LUD on 07/22.

EAD expires on 09/11
Hope we get our EAD approval soon.
I think they had a system glitch for some time. All the people who got an LUD on 7/22 essentially means that TSC had received the FP on that date.
I have an infopass on 14th I will see what information they will provide.

Will the completion of the Backlogs Centers help a LC recently submitted? Will my status change if an audit is required? I am just worried for the "30 days" deadline to response to the audit letter. Just in case the letter has been sent to my employer and is still hasn't been open it. :( Am I asking too much if my LC was submitted on 08/06/07?

Out of 800,000 visa pending is it reasonable to say that a majority of the cases (maybe 400,000?) are cases with PD >=2005?? If so the number of pending cases with earlier PD dates (2001 to 2005) will be less. If you break this down by year, the number of pending cases by year does not seem much.. If they process by PD they should clear older cases like 2001 -2003 or even 2004 by end of 2008??
